Custom Product Sales Representative

Seeking a Driven 6-Figure Player

About the Position:

The Custom Products Sales Representative will sell PHIL's special product line within an assigned sale's territory by servicing existing customers and expanding the PHIL brand by prospecting new opportunities. The product line available for each Custom Products Sales Representative to sell will be determined between the individual and the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Possible special product offerings include HiVol Bodies, Rear Eject Bodies and Trailers, Water Tanks, Bottom Dump Trailers, J-hooks, Lowboy Trailers, and VRT's. Potential industries include landfills, construction, power plants, steel mills, forestry, heavy duty agriculture, and oil refineries.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Sell determined product line within given territory
  • Answer in-bound calls within given territory
  • Places 20-45 prospecting calls each day to new potential customers/dealers within given territory
  • Effectively explains why PHIL's assorted product line could prove to be beneficial to add to their (or their respective customers') equipment
  • Provides support to inbound customer service calls from given sale's territory including part and product support, order support, and installation support
  • Follows up with existing and previous customers on their PHIL experience and offers further assistance and support
  • Continues to research and gain additional understanding of PHIL's product, brand and customers
  • Networks among current contacts to establish new leads
  • Researches industry, companies, and given sale's territory to source new leads
  • Enters customer interactions into PHIL's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Travels to given territory to meet face-to-face with customers, establishes relationships, and gauges future needs
  • Travels to trade shows and other company events to represent PHIL and expand the brand
  • Attends sales and other relative training sessions on and offsite
  • Communicates effectively in-house to other associates on prospective orders

Organized and technologically savvy: Individuals on our sales team systematically tackle their work day and input customer interactions into a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and utilize Salesforce, Pardot, Office 365, and mobile phone applications

Experience Required:

  • Experience selling to customers over the phone, particularly a high dollar product with long sales cycle
  • Willingness to accommodate planned and unplanned travel to various domestic and international locations to complete job responsibilities accounting for 20-50% of the time
  • 4-year degree in a program or major relative to the position and 6-years related experience in a similar industry
  • Or, 2-year degree in a program or major relative to the position and 8-years related experience in a similar industry
  • Or high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10+-years related experience in a similar industry
  • Knowledge of (or the technological skills required to quickly learn and effectively use) a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Salesforce, Pardot, Office 365, and mobile phone applications
