Director of Mining Products

Seeking a Driven 6-Figure Player

About the Position:

The focus of the Director of Mining Products is to promote and retain the sales of products and services to existing and new customers in North America and to prospect and secure an international sales network in select target countries and markets. The Director of Mining Products is to assist in the development of new marketing concepts and programs as they relate to the specific international market. This is accomplished by interpreting Sales forecasts and results, establishing an international sales network for the Company, negotiating business agreements necessary for competing in select international markets, and always representing the Company in a positive light.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Responsible for North and South American mining-class products sales
  • Calls on identified target customers within specified countries and markets
  • Promotes select PHIL products to identified areas of the United States, Canada, and the international markets and countries
  • Works with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing to determine compensation plans for agents, dealers, and PHIL representatives
  • Produces an ongoing sales forecast
  • Presents new products and proposals to Company management
  • Provides adequate training to identified international personnel to ensure future success in these markets
  • Ensures that the Sales and Marketing policies and procedures of the Company are carried out in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives set forth by the Vice President of Sales & Marketing
  • Assists the Vice President of Sales & Marketing with long-range strategic Company planning
  • Creates, maintains, and improves Company relationships with existing international customers
  • Performs research, as directed by the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, to investigate potential products, services, or niche markets
  • Maintains accurate daily recordkeeping in the CRM database of all accounts, leads, and customer interaction
  • Completes timely paperwork including Daily Call Sheets and Weekly Sales Planners to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing
  • Adheres to the provided budget
  • Provides the necessary training for all new Company international sales representatives
  • Maintains and nurtures good working relationships among all members of the sales team
  • Strives to achieve all monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, gross profit margins, contact quotas and written plan for the international effort
  • Acts as a liaison between international and assigned North American customers and territories, meeting customer expectations providing goodwill for future business
  • Ensures sales information flows both horizontally and vertically throughout the Organization Chart to ensure that goals and objectives are achieved
  • Makes it understood that the customer is our first priority, and that this position is to support that priority
  • Travels and meets with customers, prospects, dealers, licensees and vendors domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Manages outside Independent Representatives domestically or internationally

Experience Required:

  • Experience selling to customers over the phone, particularly a high dollar product with long sales cycle
  • Willingness to accommodate planned and unplanned travel to various domestic and international locations to complete job responsibilities up to 50-75%
  • 4-year degree in a program or major relative to the position and 6-years related experience in the mining industry
  • Or, 2-year degree in a program or major relative to the position and 8-years related experience in the mining industry
  • Or high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10+-years related experience in the mining industry
  • Knowledge of (or the technological skills required to quickly learn and effectively use) a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Salesforce, Pardot, Office 365, and mobile phone applications
