Administrative Assistant

Receptionist with HR Administrative Assistant Duties

About the Position:

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to run our front desk, assist with human resource functions, and manage other miscellaneous projects.

Front desk responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering and routing incoming calls, managing incoming and outgoing mail and faxes, managing photo archives, managing the employee recognition program, checking visitors in and out, ordering and monitoring all office supplies, meeting preparation (making coffee, table set up, etc.), watering office plants, updating our motivational quote board, decorating for birthdays, assisting with travel coordination, closing the office daily (lights, locking up, etc.), and miscellaneous errand running.  

HR duties include but are not limited to: logging and updating applicants in the applicant tracking system, scheduling interviews, conducting pre-employment testing, filing, managing employee training files, being an active member of the wellness committee, assisting with event coordination (such as potlucks, field games day, offsite events, annual charity drive), and assist the HR Manager with emergency response planning  and employee communications.

Experience Required:

Candidates must have:

  • A 2-year degree in Business Administration with 1+ year' experience as an administrative assistant
  • Or, a high school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years' experience as an administrative assistant
  • Experience with phones, faxing, scheduling, mailing, and note taking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access
  • Drivers' license and reliable transportation 

 

Experience Preferred (Not Required):

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing office
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience with HelloFax

 

Pay Structure of Position:

  • Non-exempt hourly
  • $11-13 starting rate depending on experience
  • Eligible for overtime

 

Hours:

  • 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Monday through Friday
